Fun Facts: Longwood, Florida in Seminole County had an estimated population of 13,491 in 2006 per U.S. Census Bureau. The Town of Longwood became incorporated as a city in 1923. The 1966 film, “Johnny Tiger” was filmed in Longwood. The Senator (more than 3000 year old bald cypress) was Central Florida’s oldest tourist attraction until it burned down in 2012.
